I am a NHS Consultant Paramedic with a regional ambulance Trust and the Consultant HEMS Paramedic with a regional Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS). My professional work is a blend of clinical time as well as strategic management and leadership responsibilities particular around clinical governance, assurance and development. My clinical time is spent both responding within the ambulance service delivering clinical leadership and pre-hospital care as well as working as part of the regional air ambulance HEMS team providing pre-hospital critical care. I have significant experience of pre-hospital practice both within ambulance Trusts and air ambulance services.
I began my career in the ambulance service in 2000 and have undertaken a variety of frontline ambulance roles including ambulance and solo response, latterly as an Advanced Paramedic Practitioner prior to my appointment to my Consultant positions in 2018. I provide expert witness services and professional, expert opinion and reports for all aspects of pre-hospital care pertaining to paramedic and ambulance clinical practice. Services include the provision of expert advice and document review, screening and short form written reports and court (CPR35) compliant reports.
